Volunteer at Korumburra or Leongatha

Discover the joy and purpose of giving back through volunteering at our local hospital

What volunteers do

Volunteering is an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s a chance to make a real difference in people’s lives while being part of a caring and supportive local community.

At both Korumburra and Leongatha, volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming and compassionate environment for our patients, residents and their families. Whether offering conversation, companionship or practical support, every contribution helps make someone’s day a little easier.

You’ll work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals, learn new skills and gain valuable insight into how our local health service supports the South Gippsland community.

Beyond the practical benefits, volunteering brings a strong sense of purpose and connection. You’ll meet wonderful people and contribute to something bigger than yourself. Every hour you give strengthens our ability to provide high-quality, person-centred care close to home.

It’s not just volunteering. It’s making a meaningful impact where it truly matters.

Why do we need your help?

Every week, our wonderful volunteers make a real difference to the lives of our residents, patients and clients.

Opportunities to volunteer include:

  • Three residential aged care facilities
  • Gardening on-site
  • Varied patient transport

Orientation to get you started, followed by training sessions and ongoing support will be provided.

What skills do you need?
