Gambling is a real issue in our local community. We strive to help those at risk of problem gambling through a range of support programs.
Kooweerup Hospital partners with enliven to address issues such as social isolation and exclusion, two known risk factors for problem gambling.
Our goal is to create socially inclusive and welcoming environments where people feel valued and can participate more.
Providing a safe place where patients can talk about their experiences, understand the risks of gambling, and learn healthier ways to cope. Support may include counselling, group programs, and guidance on managing money and stress.
Our Men’s Shed and Community Garden are two ways that we help people get more involved, so they are less likely to fall into the gambling trap.
