The Men’s Shed is a place where men can meet new people, make new friends, learn new skills, share skills with others and contribute to their local community. The Kooweerup Men’s Shed is no different – we welcome men of all ages to come and spend time with others in a relaxed, informal setting.
The shed provides a lounge area, internet access, kitchen & café, wood working and metal work facilities. With no pressure on the members to make anything, some men simply come to enjoy a coffee and a chat.
The Men’s Shed is open to all men over the age of 18 and is open Monday to Saturday.
Community garden
Our community garden brings people together to grow and harvest beautiful fresh food. It’s a great place to come for some physical activity, and to meet other like-minded locals.
Forged through a partnership with Kooweerup Secondary College, community members and Kooweerup Hospital, our community garden welcomes all locals to come and have a dig in our raised garden beds.

Supported by the Men's Shed members, the Community Garden is open every day that the Men's Shed is open.
Aboriginal meeting place and bush school
The Aboriginal Meeting Place and Bush School is the first Aboriginal gathering place in Cardinia Shire. It offers a safe and welcoming space for cultural sharing, learning, and community connection. The space helps people strengthen their cultural identity, learn from each other, and build relationships.
It also supports better access to safe and culturally appropriate care by creating trust and understanding. This special place celebrates Aboriginal culture and helps bring the community together.
