Bayside Health Regional provides free programs to help you raise healthy and happy children

We offer support to local families from pregnancy all the way through to the teenage years.

What they offer

  • Free baby health checks to track your child's growth
  • Parenting courses to help with behaviour and sleep
  • Playgroups for kids to learn and parents to connect
  • Family counselling and extra support at home if you are going through a tough time

Strengthening families

Bayside Health Strengthening Families program offers a range of free programs for parents of children aged 2-17 in Bass Coast and surrounding regions. Both in-person and live online versions will be available. See details below. 

1-2-3 Magic and emotion coaching parenting program

A free program designed to help parents of all 2-12 year-olds, including those with ADHD, ASD, or other special needs. 
 
This fantastic program, Now with inclusive adaptation, will teach you techniques for dealing with conflict and unwanted behaviours using the 1-2-3 Magic system. You will also learn how to build your child’s emotional resilience. 

Learn to:

  • Let go of what doesn't need parenting
  • Discipline without yelling or arguing
  • Handle challenging behaviours
  • Encourage positive behaviour
  • Build your child’s emotional resilience

Engaging adolescents parenting program

If you have a teen or pre-teen and need support with your parenting journey or would just like to strengthen your relationship, book into our wonderful program, 'Engaging Adolescents'. 
 
You’ll learn how to have those 'tough conversations', discover strategies to deal with unacceptable behaviour and help improve your teen’s emotional resilience. 

Free program for parents of all children aged 10-17.

  • Updated insights into adolescents and their development
  • A three-option decision-making model and flow chart
  • A 'self check-in first' approach for parents
  • Shared common ground among parents and realistic expectations of adolescents
