Our Leisure and Lifestyle program is designed to promote wellbeing, social connection and quality of life for all residents at our care facilities
Leisure and lifestyle program
What we do
Through all of our residential care facilities, we run a Leisure and Lifestyle program to ensure that our residents lives are rich and meaningful.
Our goal is to ensure that the transition from independent living to residential care is as seamless and reassuring as possible, and that life continues in a similar vein as before.
Through our practice of ‘person-centred care and social inclusion’, we get to know each resident’s individual needs, culture and religious background. We also welcome their family and community into our program.
A range of activities to choose from
Every resident is unique. Recognising this, we offer a diverse array of activities and programs – such as outings to local cafes, bus trips, excursions to local events, museum or aquarium, and more.
Closer to home, residents can choose from a range of activities such as:
- Scenic bus drives and outings
- Craft activities including Bunnings workshops
- Morning melodies and singalong
- Weekly happy hour
- Visits to local café’s
- Men’s Shed activities
- Shopping trips
- Gentle exercise
- Gardening groups
Leading an enriching and fulfilling life needn’t stop when you enter a care facility. At Kooweerup Hospital, we work hard to ensure that life is as colourful and stimulating as our residents want it to be.
We strive to ensure that life remains as engaging and fulfilling as our residents want it to be. At Kooweerup Hospital, we are committed to supporting quality of life at every stage.
