Chemotherapy

Compassionate and skilled care supporting patients and families through every step of treatment

What we do

Our team of skilled nurses is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to patients, families, and friends during their treatment journey. Our nurses are trained to offer physical, emotional, psychological, and cultural assistance, ensuring that all aspects of care are addressed.

You can trust that our team will be there to provide the support you need throughout the treatment process.

Our Trained Nursing Staff offers a weekly chemotherapy administration service, providing education, counselling, and support to patients and their families. A specialized Oncology and Haematology Doctor visits the department every two weeks.

Additional services include access to a Dietitian, Social Worker (offering Respite Care, Home Help, and Post Acute Care), Palliative Care Consultant, Breast Cancer Support Nurse, and the Gippsland Cancer Support Group.

For added comfort, a Day Procedures Room is available at Leongatha Hospital, featuring a pleasant and private environment with special armchairs for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
