What we do
Caring for someone with a disability, dementia, challenging behaviours or a palliative condition can be demanding. Looking after your own health and wellbeing is equally important.
What respite care looks like depends on your situation. It can be available for a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks. It can be provided in your home, the community or an aged care home.
Planning your respite
Respite care can be arranged in advance when you have planned commitments, such as personal appointments, a trip or other responsibilities. Emergency and unplanned respite options are also available when you need unexpected support.
