Quit smoking

Breaking free from nicotine addiction requires commitment, support, and proven strategies for lasting success and better health

What they do

When you quit smoking, you get immediate and long-term health benefits. We encourage smokers to change their lives and kick the habit.

Research shows that people who get some support and use quitting medications have the best chance of quitting.

That’s why we strive to support broader Quit initiatives, as well as promoting prevention messages and maintaining a smoke free policy throughout all our facilities.

With smoking being the leading preventable cause of death and disease in Australia, the community health promotion workforce has a key role in influencing and enabling communities to reduce tobacco-related harm.

Quit is committed to supporting this workforce by providing a range of tools and resources to support them to take action.
