Monash Pathology offers a range of pathology testing completed at the on-site laboratory at the Wonthaggi Hospital or at the main laboratory in Clayton.
Some tests require special preparation prior to taking the test. Make sure you follow the pre-test instructions prior to arriving at the collection centre.
What we offer
High quality pathology services are offered to doctors and patients of Bayside Health, as well as the entire Bass Coast Shire community through GP clinic referrals.
Pathology test procedures are available through collection centres located at the Wonthaggi Hospital located in Graham Street, Wonthaggi and the Phillip Island Community Hospital at 50 - 54 Church Street, Cowes.
Who we care for
We can provide a service for any patient who has had a pathology request slip completed by their GP and/or specialist.
To check that the tests your doctor ordered can be performed by Monash Pathology, please call the Wonthaggi Laboratory on (03) 5671 3292.
Your doctor may suggest the most appropriate pathology service for your needs. Patient Choice legislation allows patients to take a pathology request to an approved pathology practitioner or approved pathology authority of your choice, unless the requesting practitioner specifies an approved pathology practitioner for clinical reasons.
