What does the NDIS do?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a Commonwealth Government funded service that provides individualised support for eligible people under the age of 65, who have a permanent and significant disability.
The NDIS recognises that everyone is different and gives people with a disability the choice and flexibility about the type of support they need, when they need it, and who provides that support.
Bayside Health Regional Care Group is a registered NDIS provider, and we are able to offer services to participants who are self-managed, plan managed, and NDIA managed.
Services available include:
- Support co-ordination
- Therapeutic supports (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Social Work, and Podiatry)
- Early childhood intervention
- Community nursing care (Continence, Stoma, and District Nursing)
- Development of life skills
- Personal mobility equipment
- Social and community participation (respite)
- Social group/centre-based activities
- Domestic assistance (household cleaning and assistance with laundry)
- Personal care (help with bathing/showering)
- Shopping assistance
- Meal preparation
- Transport
NDIS Support Rates
Effective 24th November 2025
Bayside Healt Regional Care Group (Formerly GSHS) will continue to charge the NDIS published rates for support services, with the current Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2025-26 valid from 24th November 2025, Version1.1 Released 14th October 2025. GSHS will be increasing their prices to match the new published rates.
GSHS will charge ‘provider travel’ relating to the MMM4 and MMM5 (regional). This is the transport for therapists to travel to and from the participant's home, from their place of work and/or travel for the support worker to the participant This will be claimed from the relevant category of the service provided - Community, Personal Care, Household Tasks, Nursing (e.g., Time Travelled x Rate of Service Provided).
For Allied Health services – Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, the provider travel is calculated at 50% of rate of service x time travel.
