Infectious Diseases Physician
Dr Gail Cross is an infectious diseases physician with experience in managing complex infections, including prosthetic joint infections, device-related infections, and antibiotic-resistant organisms. She cares for hospitalised patients with severe infections and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated treatment.
Dr Cross graduated from Monash University and completed her specialist training in infectious diseases in 2014. She has also worked internationally in Singapore, where she managed complex cases in a large tertiary hospital.
Her interests include tuberculosis and improving treatment outcomes through clinical research. Dr Cross is involved in teaching and research through roles with Monash Health, Monash University, and the Burnet Institute. She is committed to delivering clear, patient-centred, and evidence-based care.
