Mr Paul Butler

Executive Director Capital and Planning | Bayside Health

Paul has a wealth of experience in the Victorian public health system, including executive and senior management roles at Peninsula Health,  Alfred Health and Monash Health. His time working in the Victorian Department of Health in regional and program management and in disability services, provided a unique perspective of healthcare delivery in regional Victoria.

Paul’s interests include health system and service planning and management, particularly the intersection of primary health care with acute hospital services. As Executive Director for the Southeast Metro Health Services Partnership he was involved in leading system-wide improvement projects and pandemic responses. This involved working closely with several public health services in the region, the Better Health Network and the Primary Health Network.

Paul has served as a Board director on a variety of non-government organisations in the health and human services fields. He is currently a Victorian Councillor for the Australian College of Health Service Management.

Paul’s most recent role at Peninsula Health, saw him responsible for strategy and planning, transformation, capital, the Peninsula University Hospital Redevelopment project and digital health.
