Board Member
Mr Shah is an experienced leader in ESG and Sustainability, Risk, Finance, and Governance, with a career spanning executive and advisory roles across the public and private sectors in Australia, Asia, and Europe. He is the former Chair of Kooweerup Regional Health Service and currently serves as a Board Director at Westernport Water and VITS Language Loop.
He also holds several independent governance roles including Chair of the Audit, Finance & Risk Committee at Docklands Studios Melbourne (DSM) and Committee Member on the Audit, Finance & Risk Committees of VicScreen and the Melbourne Recital Centre (MRC). His previous appointments include serving on the Board of the Queen Elizabeth Centre (QEC) and its Quality, Safety and Clinical Governance Committee.
Mr Shah is the Managing Partner of DBS Global, where he advises boards and executive teams on ESG strategy and reporting, risk culture, financial stewardship, and governance transformation. His career includes senior positions with the ‘Big 4’ professional services firms and major corporations, developing broad cross-sector experience in healthcare, government, technology, energy, logistics, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications and FMCG.
Recognised for his socially attuned and community-focused approach, Mr Shah brings a multidisciplinary perspective to contemporary health and regional development issues.
He has a strong record of building trusted relationships, fostering collaboration, and influencing diverse stakeholders to achieve sustainable outcomes.
Kushal holds an Executive MBA from the Melbourne Business School and qualifications including CA, LL. B, M.Com, B.Com, CIA, and a Certificate in ESG.
