Ms Karinda Taylor, a proud Wamba Wamba woman, is the Chief Executive Officer of First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing (FPHW), an exemplary Aboriginal health service dedicated to culturally safe, trauma-informed care. She leads with the foundational belief that a connection to culture, kin, community, and a strong sense of belonging are vital to overall health and wellbeing.
Previously a Registered Nurse and Midwife, Karinda transitioned her extensive clinical and strategic experience across hospitals and government into her leadership role in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health sector. She is a powerful advocate for system reform, serving as Chair of the Treaty Authority Panel and various other boards and committees.
Currently pursuing a Master of Indigenous Business Leadership and an alumni of the Harvard Macy Institute, Karinda is a transformative leader whose work is fundamentally grounded in culture, healing, and courageous advocacy for self-determination. This philosophy is the driving force behind the strategic direction and compassionate service delivery at FPHW.
