Gastroenterologist
Dr Ashwin Patwardhan is a Specialist Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist with advanced training in endoscopy. He completed his gastroenterology training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Hobart Hospital, followed by further specialised training, including an international fellowship in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Dr Patwardhan provides patient-centred, evidence-based care with a focus on clear communication and accurate diagnosis. He manages a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including pancreaticobiliary disease, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disorders, and reflux disease. He also has expertise in advanced endoscopic procedures.
He works in both private and public settings, including Cabrini Hospital, Glen Iris Private Hospital, and Bayside Health sites. Dr Patwardhan is also involved in research and ongoing advancements in gastrointestinal care.
